Grant recipients
are required to meet strict oversight standards throughout the duration
of the project.
- Detailed audits of finances and
progress are probable at least annually.
- All granted funds must be spent;
any money not spent during the grace period goes back to the treasury
- Detailed program goals must be developed,
approved, and carried out as specified in the grant application
- All project changes must be approved
by the grantor.
- All project phases must be completed
on time.
- Project goals must be successfully
completed.
- Failured to perform under requirements
of grant agreement can result in penalties ranging from economic
sanctions to prison time.
