No More Starving Artists!
Allan McConnell, Fine Art Photographer and 25+ year business consultant/trainer presents: No More Starving Artists, the business side of a professional art career. Join Allan, the Business/Marketing Manager for the International Award winning Colorado Oil and Pastel Artist Fran Dodd, for a 16-hour whirlwind experience. You'll learn about Jump Starting Your Career, Copyright and Contracts, Scorekeeping and Taxes, and most especially marketing to include pricing, products, sales, working with galleries, developing support materials, and much, much more. You'll also develop your own plan for success as an artist. Come in with a totally open mind! This is primarily for visual artists but others could gain as well.
This program will be hosted by Adams State College's Community Partnerships on January 24th and 25th from 8:30 to 5:00 each day with a 30 minute lunch break. It will be held at the School of Business, room 142 on the ASC campus in Alamosa, Colorado. Extensive handouts will be included in a notebook for each participant including checklists and references. With the amount of material to be presented you will be well advised to bring a tape recorder so you can reference it later for your personal use and you may not be able to take notes fast enough.
The cost will be $125 per person.
Please call ASC Community Partnerships at 587-8227 to reserve space for you in this program.
